Hi! try do download skype_2.31.0.9.xap and install Skype manually. Please note that Skype for Windows Phone requires at least WP 8.0 to be installed on your device.

Hi! First of all run Skype, wait until crashes, then save msinfo32.nfo and DxDiag.txt files according to these diagnosing instructions, upload them to http://uploads.skaip.org/uploader and tell me your ID.

Are you receiving any errors? And which version of Windows do you have?

I stopped getting skype phone calls. I uninstalled skype then installed skype 7.25.0.106. It now shuts down after running two to three hours constantly. This is my only phone and I need it to get any work. I'm now broke because of this and the skype website does not help.

Hi! As a temporary solution, try to install Skype 7.24.0.104 for Windows. Let me know if you succeeded or you have any questions.

Thank you for the reply, so much better than anything from Skype, like Vonage, has the absolute worst support. I already loaded ver 7.22.32.109 around noon today and thus far it's still up, but I looked at Event Viewer and saw the following:

Windows cannot query DllName registry entry for {7B849a69-220F-451E-B3FE-2CB811AF94AE} and it will not be loaded. This is most likely caused by a faulty registration.

Which are the same type of messages that led up to Skype shutting down previously, it's still early though, as it has been shutting down any where from 1 to 4 hours.
It it shuts down I'll uninstall it and try your recommendation.
Regardless, I will keep you informed.
        Thank you,
        Don Novak

        Hello -
Yesterday I emailed you that I loaded ver 7.22.32.109. Now it's been almost 24 hours and still has not shut down. I received one call last night and just made a call a few minutes ago and all is still functioning as it should. However, I still get two of the following similar messages every hour and twenty to twentyfive minutes:

Windows cannot query DllName registry entry for {CF7639F3-ABA2-41DB-97F2-81E2C5DBFC5D} and it will not be loaded. This is most likely caused by a faulty
        registration.

I do not like this type of message. Do you have any recommendations for rectifying this issue?
I loaded three different versions yesterday that all did the same thing, they could not connect. I'm thinking this is something on Skype's end that simply does not permit any connection to versions that have known issues???

        Please advise.
        Thanks again,
        Don

          Hi Don!
In order to help other users to find solution to similar problems, I would want to move our email conversation on blog as continuation to your initial thread. Can I do this?

About your error: first of all, you should to reset settings of Internet Explorer (I know for someone it may sound strange, but believe me, MSIE is a important system component and like other programs, Skype use its functions). So:
          1) Run command line (cmd.exe) as Administrator

          2) Paste following command and press Enter:
          Reg delete "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\GPExtensions\{CF7639F3-ABA2-41DB-97F2-81E2C5DBFC5D}" /f

          3) Also paste following command and press Enter:
          Reg delete "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\GPExtensions\{7B849a69-220F-451E-B3FE-2CB811AF94AE}" /f

          4) Press the key combination Win+R, type inetcpl.cpl and press Enter

          5) Open "Advanced" tab, click "Reset"

          6) In the "Reset Internet Explorer Settings" dialog box enable "Delete personal settings" option and click "Reset"

          7) When Internet Explorer finishes applying the default settings, click "OK" and restart your PC

          8) Launch Skype

ps. If the error will occur again, please tell me which version of Internet Explorer and Windows do you use.

You're frickin' amazing!! Ok, first of all I run XP Pro 5.1 Build 2600 32 bit SP3 with a 2.9 GHz processor, so instead of HKLM it should be HKEY. I did it all manwellee thru regedit. Then when I ran inetcpl.cpl instead of instead of "Reset" I opted for "Restore Defaults". Then I made sure "Enable Personalized Favorites Menu" was not selected, that was the only option close to "Delete personal settings". By the way, after I hit the "Restore Defaults" button it was unchecked anyway. I assume you knew that there was not any value set for the entries you had me delete in the registry.
I rebooted at 2 pm, made two calls and hoped to have received a call but no luck. Right now I'm running at 800 Meg memory usage, normally with this many windows open I would be at 1.2 Gig, I can't believe the huge difference. I'm ecstatic!! And of course you can move this to a blog, I'm illiterate about them as I do not get into the social media stuff, I abhor it.
If you like you can call me ***.
            Let me know.
            Thanks so much!!!
            Don

I'm a bit confusing about "hoped to have received a call but no luck". Do you mean that problem occurs again or you were not able to contact anyone? Also you forget to mention which version of Internet Explorer do you use. Hope you have the 8 version, because on Windows XP it is required by Skype (if not, you can install it by downloading this file: IE8-WindowsXP-x86-ENU.exe).

About, "instead of HKLM it should be HKEY". I think this is wrong, because HKLM is an abbreviation of HKey Local Machine and Reg delete command will use it as the right path.

Hello, Uncle Billy! Sorry for being late. As far as I know, it was a temporary error and it was fixed quickly. I hope you are all right now.
