Since the end of March, users of Skype for Windows have been proposed to upgrade to the new version. However, neither on the official forum nor in the blog any one wanted to share news and tell us, what had changed in Skype 7.3.0.101 for Windows. At this point, the only thing I have noticed is that the avatars and “bubbles” have become a little smaller; copyrights have been updated; both in the Skype menu and the task bar, the command “Log off” has been renamed into “Leave the account”; options “Show images in conversations” and “Compact chat” have been moved to the section “The visual design of the chat”.

Also, during the startup, Skype checks now, if it is the default program that handles the links such as "callto:", "tel:" and "skype:". If not, the user is proposed to choose, “what actions in Skype will this program handle by default?”

      Version 7.3.0.101 is not supported anymore. To use Skype you should install 7.17.0.104 or higher. I suggest you to install the latest version of Skype for Windows (at the moment it is 7.39.0.102).
