From the official Skype Status blog: Some users might be experiencing problems when signing in to Skype. There might be error messages about connection issues or incorrect credentials.

Possible solutions to fix issue

  1. Sign out of the Skype account and log on again. That is, you do not just have to close Skype, but end the session to enter your login and password at startup.

  2. Try to create portable Skype for Windows.

  3. Use the new Skype (for example, 8.15.0.4) or Skype for Web.

    I have downloaded skype_6.14.0.104.exe and i can not connect to the internet. In fact, any version of skype can not be connected to the internet. I have windows xp. Could you please help me ? Thanks

      Version 6.14.0.104 is no longer supported. This is why I recommend you to install the latest version of Skype for Windows XP (ie, 7.36.0.150). Of course, due to the current signing issue, you may encounter some problems, but they will disappear as soon as the developers fix the bug.
