Skype continues correct its bugs and errors, and today it appears to us even more stable than ever before! Version 5.3 of Skype for Windows has a lot of various issues fixed: some are about the interface (e.g. too long labels in some languages), others could make you mad (e.g. Skype crashing or cleaning up the message field). Fortunately, the problems listed above won't annoy you anymore. Just like those that are listed on this page below.
Among other things, the Extras Manager has been removed from Skype 5.3.0.116 for Windows. It provided access to various third party applications in some way integrated with Skype. For example, you could play sea battle with your friend just picking him from your contact list. But its developing was stopped on September 2009 due to the low popularity of this service, and now it's time to remove it directly from Skype. Extras Manager will continue to function for a while, so if you want to continue using it (or you heard about the service for the first time and want to try it out), you have to download the old Skype 5.2 on the official site.
