Starting from July 7, 2015, the free application Skype for Modern Windows stops its existence. While launching it, the user will receive the following error:

Instead of this version users are encouraged to download Skype for Windows and enjoy all the features of the program, which were not available in Skype for Modern Windows (for example, group calls or screen sharing). It should be noted that users that use the tablets with Windows RT, would be able to continue to use the version of Skype for Modern Windows.

Also should be remembered that during the transition from Skype for Modern Windows to Skype for Windows, will be stored correspondence history only for the last 30 days. Soon I will try to test something and if everything goes well, I will tell you how to save the entire chat history. Therefore, I recommend do not remove the application, otherwise the old chat history will be lost forever.
